When does the fear go away?
So I'm 34 weeks now and I'm still putting off doing the last of my shopping for the baby. Not because I'm lazy but because I'm scared. I still worry that something will happen. Then I realize that if something did, the last thing I'd be worried about is the last minute shopping that I had done. Especially considering the fact that his FURNITURE is now setup in his room.
He's already my child, why can't I just let the fear go?

I don't think the fear goes away until they move out on their own :-( and you can't see what they are up to!
There was a girl at work the other day who was pregnant and had her baby two months early. The baby is very tiny but doing very well. It's amazing how far they have come in the area of premies so I know it won't help - but you will be OK.
Funny story - there was another woman at work who gave birth about a month ago - the funny part is until the baby actually came out - she didn't know she was pregnant!!! She didn't look it, the baby didn't move much, she is older and thought she was going through early menapause and had back labour (I had the same thing with my second) so she didn't even recognize it as labour and went home early from work with a bad back ache - then SURPRISE!!
And both her and the baby are doing fine. She's brought him in a couple of times and he is adorable.
your a parent, even if the child is not here yet you are one. I worry all the time.
Not to mention labor is exactly that labor and its very nerve racking. All will be well for you so dont forget to enjoy it too. :)
